Gravitate built substantial momentum in 2022 and is poised to continue its rapid growth in 2023. A key part of Gravitate’s future growth will be solidifying its strategic plan and building the foundation to scale the business to become the world’s leading fuel supply chain software platform. To help drive this effort Gravitate has hired Joel Davies as its Vice President of Strategy.

Joel grew up with fuel in his blood. His family has been in the fuel station business since the 1930’s. Joel joined the family business in 2007, to manage fuel supply and logistics. As the company grew it was clear that technology was needed to scale effectively. Joel researched several systems and chose TelaPoint to help manage their fuel dispatch and delivery. When the family business eventually sold to Flyers Energy, Joel joined the TelaPoint team in a sales role. Over the next 13 years Joel developed a passion for helping companies solve complex fuel supply chain challenges while working with many of the historical leaders in the fuel software space, including Intellifuel, PDI, and Insite360. He began consulting with the Gravitate team in 2021 and, soon, both the team and Joel realized they were a good fit.

When Joel isn’t busy strategizing the future path for Gravitate, he can be found blazing new trails on two wheels. In his free time, he’s either charging downhill on his mountain bike, trying to keep up with his cycling group on his road bike, or embarking on cross-country adventures on his gravel bike. The scenery, exhilaration, and his cycling community keep him coming back nearly every weekend for more.
